PURPOSE:To diagnoses many kinds of diagnostic object, by constituting diagnosing firmware with the same diagnostic monitor for various diagnostic objects and test information and test routines which are provided for respective diagnostic objects independently of one another. CONSTITUTION:When test information 6a and 6b of diagnostic objects 3a and 3b are requested from a diagnosing software 2 on the side of a personal computer 1, a diagnostic monitor 5 of respective diagnosing firmware 4a and 4b transfers test information 6a and 6b of corresponding diagnostic objects to diagnosing software 2. Diagnosing software 2 generates diagnostic information related to the diagnostic object 3a from test information 6a and gives it to the diagnostic monitor 5 of diagnosing firmware 4a. Diagnostic information for the diagnostic object 3a is analyzed, and the diagnostic monitor 5 gives the analysis result to a test routine 7a. The test routine 7a diagnoses the diagnostic object 3a in accordance with this diagnostic information. The diagnostic object 3b is diagnosed in the same manner. Thus, many kinds of diagnostic object are diagnosed with the same diagnosing software and diagnostic monitors having the same constitution. |
