PURPOSE:To obtain a wide band and high sensitivity head by having a high permeability low frequency characteristic with one side of two magnetic blocks to sandwich a main magnetic pole film and having a low permeability high frequency characteristic with other side. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic pole film 1 composed of an amorphous soft magnetic body is sandwiched with a ferrite core 2 of a U-shaped high permeability low frequency characteristic having a groove 2a for winding and a ferrite core 3 of the low permeability high frequency characteristic having a groove 3a for winding in the same way. A main magnetic pole film length Lm part of the tip is sandwiched by nonmagnetic blocks 4 and 5 composed of a ceramic, etc. At the part of the slender neck of ferrite cores 2 and 3 close to the part and to which the main magnetic pole film 1 is sandwiched, an exciting coil 6 is wound and the coil 6 is provided on grooves 2a and 3a for winding. Thus, since two cores 2 and 3 having different characteristics are used, the characteristics of both cores 2 and 3 are held altogether as an equal head ferrite block and a magnetic circuit to endure a first permeability can be constituted from a low area to a high area. |
