The invention relates to a motor-vehicle door with a longitudinally divided outer panel which is joined along an essentially horizontal separating line between two panel parts, in the region near the joining line a reinforcing profile being arranged in the motor-vehicle door, which profile increases the stiffness against impact and extends over the entire length of the door, and the edge regions, lying in the joining region, of the lower and of the upper panel parts being connected to the reinforcing profile such that they overlap one another and in a manner which when seen from the outside is concealed. To separate the upper panel part from the lower panel part there is provided a trim profile which can be attached in a particularly simple manner by virtue of the fact that it is guided between the overlapping edge regions of the panel parts into the interior of the door body and is likewise connected to the reinforcing profile.
