In a two-spindle lathe for the simultaneous machining of two workpieces, the two spindles with their workpiece chucks are arranged in an axially parallel manner. The two-spindle lathe has a tool carrier movable transversely to the spindle axes and having at least one tool holder which is designed for two tools which can be fed in radially to the spindle axes.
