PURPOSE:To enable a card to be easily removed from a card support plate by a recording head, by a construction wherein a supporting surface of the card support plate with which surface the recording head makes contact by the side of the card at the time of removing the card from the support plate is made to be greater than the card. CONSTITUTION:Recording on a card 1a is conducted by moving a card support plate (electrostatic attracting plate) 9 in parallel to the card 1a in the condition where a recording head 14 is pressed against the card 1a supported on the card support plate 9. At the time of removing the card 1a from the support plate 9, the head 14 is pressed against a supporting surface of the support plate 9, which surface is greater than the card 1a, by the side of the card 1a. With the support plate 9 moved in this condition, the card 1a is removed from the support plate 9. |
