PURPOSE:To obtain a black toner superior in color development performance, light resistances, strong in coloring power, and not dyeing a fixing roller and the like by incorporating a compound classified in C.I. Pigment Black 20. CONSTITUTION:The black toner contains as a colorant an organic pigment classified in C.I. Pigment Black 20 having the structure typified by formula I. The binder resin to be used is polystyrene and its derived monopolymer, such as poly-p-chlorostyrene optionally substituted, and styrene-p-chlorostyrene copolymer, etc., thus permitting the obtained black toner to be used as the negative toner, too, to be superior in light resistance and strong in coloring power and not to dye a silicone rubber fixing roller. |
