The appts. consists of a pair of curved shells with a mechanism for moving them together or apart as required, above which is an extensible carrier in shoulder-pad form. Below this is an extensible support, adjustable in height, corresp. to the belt. On both sides are expandable carriers movably fixed to the ends of the shoulders for insertion in the sleeves. Around the central body is a covering with similar coverings around the sleeve expanders. At the bottom of the appts. are injection holes into the coverings for pneumatic or hot steam treatment.
