<p>PURPOSE:To enable easy adjustment of the pitch of exposure lines in a main scanning direction, by making it possible to freely adjust the angle of a transparent plate to the main scanning direction of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:When a transparent plate 4 is perpendicular to an optical path, incident light 7 passes through points E and H on the plate 4 to reach a condensing point O. When the plate 4 is inclined at an angle alpha to a main scanning direction of a photosensitive body 3, the incident light is refracted at a point K on the plate 4, reaches a point N, at which it is again refracted, and reaches a condensing point 0'. Namely, with the plate 4 inclined by the angle alpha, the condensing point is shifted by 00'. Thus, by varying the angle of the transparent plate 4 with a relatively rough accuracy, an exposure line can be finely adjusted in the main scanning direction on a several micrometer basis. Therefore, the pitch of the exposure lines in the main scanning direction can be easily adjusted.</p> |
