摘要 PURPOSE:To stably execute breakage of solidified shell at inclined face and to improve the productivity and yield by arranging a shift between a molten steel pouring hole at upper face and heat insulating zone or a molten steel pouring hole at lower face so as to satisfy the inequality to drawing direction. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel pouring hole 10 at the upper face of the mold 2 and the heat insulating zone 18 composing of refractory at the lower face are arranged, and the pouring hole 10 and the heat insulating zone 18 are arranged as shifting by distance (l) between both center positions to the drawing direction. The shift (l) is to satisfy the inequality 0.3H<=l<=1.3H. Wherein, (l): shift between the molten steel pouring hole at the upper face and the heat insulating zone or the pouring hole at the lower face to the drawing direction (mm), H: thickness of a cast slab (mm). The separating face of the solidified shell 14 by drawing is shown as the broken line 20. By ideally shifting the shift (l) between the pouring hole and the heat insulating zone 18 to the drawing direction by the thickness H of the cast slab as the breakage at the max. shearing stress developing direction is developed at fixed position, the breakage position is not shifted at right or left direction, and the stable casting can be executed. In the range shown in the inequality to the shift (l) between the pouring hole and the heat insulating zone 18 to the drawing direction, the stable effect can be obtd.
