PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively form a displaying gauge marked with linear scale divisions by magnetically connecting a driving magnet assembly fixed to a target fitting lever arm to a driven magnet assembly positioned on the outside of a housing. CONSTITUTION: The internal finished surfaces 50 and 52 of a housing member 14 and a rear plate 18 form a target chamber 54 having a circular part 56 and a disk type target 86 is positioned in the circular part 56 of the chamber 54. A recessed section 98 which is matched to a driving magnet assembly 14 is formed on the external front side of the member 14. A driven magnet assembly 99 which is magnetically coupled with the assembly 90 through a nonperforated housing wall structure 100 is put in a slot 98. The assembly 99 is attached to the arm of a pointer shaft 106.
