The machine, esp. suitable for making sweet ham or similar, has a container for the meat, which is evacuated by a vacuum pump. The container has reinforcing ribs on all faces and includes a cover with a joint for hermetically sealing the charging hole, means for hermetically isolating the redn. motor and a connecting pipe from the upper part of the container to the vacuum pump. Isolation of the redn. motor is achieved by a bush attached removably to the motor shaft and by at least one catch housed in a tubular part fixed to the reducer flange. The machine also includes a platform fixed to the bush to collect oil or impurities which can fall from the upper part of the container. (0/1)
