PURPOSE:To prevent toner from being scattered and to prevent the quantity of the light of an eraser from decreasing by increasing a light quantity distribution gradually from upstream to downstream and making it maximum at the most downstream position. CONSTITUTION:The light quantity distribution of the eraser is increased gradually from upstream to downstream and has its peak at the position corresponding to the most downstream position of the eraser. Thus, the light quantity distribution with a gradient is easily realized by shifting a lamp in position or making the internal surface of a lamp house white. Consequently, no abrupt potential drop is caused, so the scattering of toner is suppressed and the quantity of the light of the eraser is prevented from decreasing. |
