A stairlift provided with drive members fitted on the wall of the staircase and comprising a motor 1 and a chain 2 which, through the use of a trolley 3 and arms 4,5, is capable of lifting and displacing a lift platform. The motions of the lift platform are controlled by an iron bar 7 such that from the lower position a vertical motion upwards is first executed before a motion parallel with the staircase is initiated. At its lower end the bar divides and the rollers 9,10 rolling thereupon enclose at the lower end the widening control mechanism, whilst in the other motion along the control mechanism one roller 10 is located above and one roller below the control mechanism 7. The chain 2 and the iron bar 7 must be parallel but can to a certain extent be matched to the staircase in terms of their inclination without special members having to be produced for this purpose. <IMAGE> |
