<p>PURPOSE:To control the shape of a thin sheet with a computer of a small capacity, and to obtain a thin sheet with a good shape, by taking the effect of an operation applied to the shape correcting element as an influence factor in the direction of sheet breadth, in a thin sheet rolling mill provided with a shape detector and a shape correcting device. CONSTITUTION:On the run-out side of a rolling mill, plural shape detectors are arranged along the sheet breadth. The influence of each shape correcting device exerted upon the shape of a thin sheet is obtained for every sheet breadth as an influence factor of each position in the direction of breadth exerted upon the variation of deviation of the elongation percentage. By using this influence factor, the deviation of elongation percentages at each position in the direction of breadth after correcting the sheet shape is predicted before correcting the sheet shape. The difference between a predicted deviation epsiloni of elongation percentages at each position in the direction of sheet breadth and an aimed deviation ai of elongation percentages is evaluated with a shape evaluation function M. On the basis of the result of this evaluation for M=MAX(epsiloni-ai), i=1-n, the optimum controlling direction and amount of the shape correcting device are decided.</p> |
