PURPOSE:To eliminate the difference of hue in the case of color mixture due to superposition and to stably form a color, by constituting one pixel of recording of a plurality of dots and arranging a mixed color to said dots to perform color mixture. CONSTITUTION:The recording head unit 90 mounted on a carriage 6 is constituted so that four recording heads 9A-9D corresponding to colors C, M, Y, Bk are arranged in a scanning direction and a large number of ink emitting orifices 10 are arranged to the surfaces of said heads opposed to a recording medium 1 at a predetermined interval longitudinally in a row and an electrothermal converter 11 is selectively driven by the signal from a host apparatus 14 through a control substrate 15 and a heat driver 13 to allow an ink droplet 12 to fly by a bubble 11A. Then, one pixel is constituted of a plurality of color dots by the scanning movement of the carriage 6 and the selective flight of the ink droplet 12 and a desired color is formed without overlapping inks. By this method, a color having stable hue can be formed. |
