发明名称 INSPECTING METHOD FOR METALLIC MEMBER WITH FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE LAYER
摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately inspect the kind and size of a defect by sending an ultrasonic wave into the fiber-reinforced composite layer through a jet of water and detecting an internal defect from the level variation of a reflected wave, and applying an AC magnetic field perpendicularly and detecting a surface defect from variation in voltage due to an eddy current. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic sensor 5 connected to an ultrasonic wave transmitter receiver 9 is incorporated in a nozzle member 7 to send the ultrasonic wave perpendicularly to a metallic member 4 through the jet of water between the sensor 5 and the surface of the fiber-reinforced composite layer 2. Further, a detection coil 3 connected to an eddy current detecting device 11 applies the AC magnetic field to the layer 2 perpendicularly. Then the ultrasonic wave is reflected by the surface of the layer 2, the border surface between the layer 2 and metallic main body 1, and the internal defect to detect the internal defect from the level variation of the reflected wave and also the thickness of the layer and surface defect from variation in voltage level due to a diamagnetic field produced by the electromagnetic induction of the coil 3. The inspection is therefore performed accurately and speedily in a nondestructive state.
