PURPOSE:To perform printing without a gap, by providing a redundant dot to the uppermost stage of a dot type printing head and further providing a buffer memory, to which the printing data corresponding to the dot of the lowermost stage is transmitted, corresponding to the redundant dot. CONSTITUTION:A main control apparatus 1 detecting magnified character data reads upper side 24-dot data in the magnified character data from a document data memory 11 and transmits the same to the first buffer memory 8b to perform the printing of the upper side 24-dot data of a magnified character. Subsequently, the main control apparatus 1 controls a printing control circuit 8a when the printing of an upper side one line is finished and transfers the data of the first buffer memory 8b corresponding to the printing dot 10c of the lowermost stage of a thermal head 9 to the second buffer memory 8c to store the same therein. Subsequently, a redundant dot 10a is driven on the basis of the data of the second buffer memory 8c after paper feed to perform overlap printing. |
