PURPOSE:To form a weld metal to the finer crystal grain sizes and to improve the accuracy of a non-destructive inspection by using a filler metal limited in component compsn. at the time of magnetically agitated arc welding of austenitic stainless steels. CONSTITUTION:The weld metal contg., by weight, <=0.15% C, <=0.30% Si, <=2.0% Mn, 9.0-22.5% Ni, 18.0-28.0% Cr, contg. 0.01-0.30% Ti or 0.01-0.30% Ti and 0.001-0.01% B, and the balance substantially Fe and special element is used for the component compsn. of the filler metal. This filler metal has the component compsn. resembling to the component compsn. of a weld base metal and is added with Ti or Ti and B to increase the rate of fining the crystal grains in the magnetically agitated weld zone. |
