The winding machine includes at least two fixed rollers (3) supported for rotation laterally of and in parallel alignment with the axis of rotation of the support (2) so that the films (1) extend around the rollers in passing from feed spools to the support. A bar (5) extends laterally of teh axis and is mounted for pivotal movement about an axis parallel to the axis. At least one compensating roller (4) is supported for rotation by the bar laterally of and parallel to the fixed rollers, the films extending round the compensating roller in passing between the fixed rollers. - A cam (6) is rotatable in sync. with the support and engages the bar in order to pivot the bar and move the compensating roller. A device (7) maintains the bar in contact with the cam.
