The battery (13) is housed in a compartment (11) which contains the usaul lateral and central contacts (14,15) and an additional contact (16) for temporary connection of an external appts. The earpiece end connector (20), which is pushed into the battery compartment (11), has two counter-contact pieces (21,22) co-operating with the battery contacts (14,15) and a third piece (23) on a cantilever spring (23A) co-operating with the additional contact (16). The electronic amplifier of the hearing aid can thus be connected to power supplies and signals from an external radio or TV receiver, telephone set or dictation machine.
