<p>ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE-POLYAMIDE BLOCK POLYMERS AND METHOD FOR MAKING Organopolysiloxane-polyamide block copolymers are disclosed which are prepared by reacting an aroylhalide terminated poly(diorganosiloxane) having an average of about 7 to 2000 chemically combined diorganosiloxy units with an organic diamine such as bisaminosilane. Optionally, organic polyacid halide can be used in combination with the aroylhalide terminated poly(diorganosiloxane) when reaction is effected with the organic diamine. These block copolymers are useful as elastomeric adhesives and can be combined with fillers such as glass fibers and carbon black.</p> |
