PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting material having high transition tempera ture and large critical current density, by hydrolyzing a solution or dispersion containing an element of group IIa, an element of group IIIa and copper wherein at least one of the elements is contained as a metallic alkoxide and the rest as metallic carboxylates and calcining. CONSTITUTION:A solution, dispersion or suspension containing one or more elements selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba, one or more elements selected from Sc, Y and lanthanide and copper wherein at least one element is contained as a metallic alkoxide (e.g. copper ethoxide) and the rest as metallic carboxylates (e.g. barium acetate or yttrium butanoate) is prepared. Then the metallic alkoxide of the solution is hydrolyzed and the prepared mixture is calcined to give a superconducting material of oxide type. |
