The invention relates to a square press having pressing bodies (T1, T2, T3, T4) which with their flat surfaces (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4) seal off the pressing space (1), and a press frame (2), which guides the pressing bodies (T1, T2, T3, T4) at their flat surfaces (V1, V2, V3, V 4), in which according to the invention each of the pressing bodies (T1, T2, T3, T4) has two sealing surfaces (Z1-Z2, Z2-Z3, Z3-Z4, Z4-Z1) and the sum of the sealing angles (a1, a2, a3, a4), in each case enclosed by the latter, is 360@, the guide surfaces (V1, V2, V3, V4) of the press frame (2) being designed perpendicularly with respect to the angle-bisecting T (f1, f2, f3, f4) of the sealing angles (a1, a2, a3, a4 ). The individual sealing angles (a1, a2, a3, a4) are preferably designed such that they are of the same size. The novel generation of pressing according to the invention, which brings about a change in volume which is in a square relationship to the pressing movement, can be used in a multiplicity of technical fields to increase the pressing parameters and to improve the quality of the pressed pieces. <IMAGE> |
