PURPOSE:To realize a driving circuit which reduces variation in a printing time, decrease in a printing force, and heat build-up by providing a printing excitation designating circuit which receives data for designating to drive each printing wire for setting for a coil are exciting amount necessary to drive printing, and a nonprinting excitation designating circuit receiving data for designating nondriving of the wire for setting for the coil an exciting amount not to drive for printing. CONSTITUTION:Logic circuits L1-Ln respectively employ as nonprinting excitation designating circuits each of AND gates AND1-ANDn, NAND gates NAND1-NANDn, and AND21-AND2n, receive a nondrive signal DN and printing dot data A1-An for coils C1-Cn, and set outputs B1-Bn to '0' when the signals DN is '1' and data A1-An are '1'. It sets the output B to '0' unconditionally when the data A1-An are '0'. NOR gates NOR1-NORn of a nonprinting excitation designating circuit receive a drive signal DP and outputs B1-Bn, sets outputs E1-En to '1' when both are '0', thereby operating transistors Tr1-Trn. |
