PURPOSE: To obtain a runner by which at the time of contact, the friction with the surface of a club head is reduced by separating the surface of the runner engaged with a lawn from the bottom of the club head itself at a different distance. CONSTITUTION: A runner 30 fixed to a base 25 by a suitable method has a height indicated by a dimension line 31. The height of the runner used in a club can be varied by providing an interchangeable runner having a different height, or providing shims 46. 47 or a layer. Further, a runner having a different height in the vertical direction is used to be held in a designated position with a pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape. Further, the runner has a narrow width extending from the heal to the tip of a head and has a smooth base for giving a low firiction surface engaged with a lawn, a lawn ground or a fairway generated by accident during swing. The runner matches the vertical plane passing the center of gravity as a whole, and centering and edging are performed on the upper part of the runner extending from the heel toward the tip of the head. |
