PURPOSE:To provide an optical disk 7 which is excellent in reliability and above all, in moisture resistance by forming photosetting resin layers for forming guide grooves to the size smaller than the size of transparent substrates and covering the photosetting resin layers on the transparent substrates completely with upper protective layers. CONSTITUTION:The transparent substrates 1, 1' are larger in size than the photosetting resin layers (PP layers) 8, 8' for forming guide grooves to be formed thereon and, therefore, the PP layers 8, 8' are completely covered by the protective layers 9, 9' and the protective layers 11, 11' so that the entire part of the substrates 1, 1' up to the end parts thereof is not exposed. The outside peripheral parts are covered by an adhesive agent 12 for sealing. The moisture from the outside entering through the adhesive agent 12 for sealing is, therefore, less penetrated into the PP layers 8, 8' and the need for the stage for mechanical cutting off of the end parts of the PP layers 8, 8' is eliminated in the production process. The danger of cracking the PP layers 8, 8' is obviated. |
