<p>PURPOSE:To improve the safety of operation through detection of water leakage firm a waste heat boiler tube in an early stage, by calculating the content of H2O with a computer based on measured value of a compsn. of a coke- cooling circulating gas and a mass balance of a gas circulating system, and comparing the calculated value with a reference value. CONSTITUTION:The content of each of H2, CO, CO2 and O2 in a coke-cooling circulating gas is measured with a gas analyzer 20. The content of H2O is determined with a computer 21 through the use of these measured values and an equation for calculating the content of H2O determined by the mass balance of a gas circulating system. When the calculated value of H2O is negative or less than a predetermined value, this value is regarded as indicating occurrence of water leakage from the boiler tube 3, and the safety device 22 is operated.</p> |
