PURPOSE:To improve profitability of a rotor, by forming a superconductive field coil with a superconductor having a high critical temperature. CONSTITUTION:A rotor of a superconductive rotary electric machine is composed of a torque tube 1, a coil mounting shaft 2, a superconductive field coil 31, an ordinary temperature damper 4, a low temperature damper 5, a coolant outer casing 6 and coolant end plate 7, a heat exchanger 12, a lateral radiation shield 13, etc. On this occasion, with an oxide superconductor with a high critical temperature, e.g. a superconductor comprised of an oxide of yttrium, barium, copper (Y-Ba-Cu-O), the superconductive field coil 31 is formed. Thus, by cooling the superconductive field coil 31 with liquid nitrogen, the superconductive state can be obtained at its liquid nitrogen temperature 77 deg.K. As a result, as it is due to liquid nitrogen, the rotor can be proved superb in profitability. |
