PURPOSE:To improve quality of printed matter by keeping paper closely to a peripheral surface of a cylinder, by a method wherein one end of a band sheet spring is fixed to a paper holding member, is set closely to a stage part at an opening edge in a groove so as to have the same radius as that of the peripheral surface of the cylinder, and is extended into the groove to give tension spring force to the sheet spring. CONSTITUTION:An opening edge of a long groove 66 on a peripheral surface of a cylinder is blockaded with a sheet spring 96 which presents the same circular surface as the peripheral surface of the cylinder. A long groove corresponding part of paper set closely to the peripheral surface of the cylinder while kept sucked to a suction head 65 is never depressed, and the paper sticks fast to the peripheral surface of the cylinder keeping an accurate vertical phase. Since one end of the sheet spring 96 is fixed with a bolt 97, when a size of paper varies, positions of a paper tail sucker 60 united with a side plate and a tail grip pawl 90 move circumferentially to correspond to a paper size. Though the suction head 65 and a guide 67 move in a circumferential direction of the cylinder to a pawl base 47 and the sheet spring 96 is going to be tensed or loosened, since loosening of the sheet spring 96 is absorbed by winding on an axis owing to spring force, a tension state is always maintained. |
