<p>PURPOSE:To reduce input keys in number and to realize size reduction, by providing switches for displaying characters on the display part of an electronic telephone directory successively at a fast and a slow display speed respectively. CONSTITUTION:The keyboad 6 provided to the electronic telephone number directory consists of a ten-key including keys 0-9, and function keys 10-13 and 24-25. When a write mode is set with a mode switching key 13 and the fast or slow display key 10 or 11 is pressed, the Japanese syllabary, comma, and full stop are displayed on the display part (unshown in a figure) at the fast or slow display speed successively. A desired character is inputted to an auxiliary memory with an input switch 12 and this operation is repeated to input a name; and then a telephone number is inputted with the ten-key, a confirmation switch 24 is pressed to display them, and an input switch 12 is pressed to store them in a memory. A read mode is set and the confirmation switch 24 is pressed after the name is inputted similarly to the input operation, thus displaying the number.</p> |
