PURPOSE: To obtain a tripod which can be folded compactly at one side of the camera by mounting pivotally a pair of legs on the outer beveled ends of a pair of projecting end portions, and a third leg in a slot between the pair of projecting end portions. CONSTITUTION: The tripod is mounted on a camera C by a flat mounting plate 10. The flat mounting plate 10 has a slot 30 in one end thereof forming a pair of projecting end portions 26, 28. The projecting end portions 26, 28 have beveled ends 34. A pair of legs 14, 16 having beveled upper ends is connected to the beveled ends 34 of the end portions of the mounting plate 10 by a pair of pivot pins 38. A third leg 12 is connected between the projecting end portions 26, 28 of the mounting plate 10 by a pivot pins 32. By this way, the three legs can be folded together side by side at one side of the mounting plate 10. |
