PURPOSE: To make hand-over of deposited baggage, etc., and payment of the charge even in case the person in charge is absent by introducing such an arrangement that a locker user inserts the due money in a locker device at the time of depositing or later upon specifying the name of the party in charge and that the person in charge receives the paid amount at any appropriate time upon certifying that he is a qualified one. CONSTITUTION: A locker device 1 is composed of a locker part 2 and a control part 3 to make checking of the party in charge and the locker user, the opening/closing operations of the locker, reception and discharge of the money, etc., and is connected on the on-line system to a host device 4 in a management center of the collective housing concerned. When the party in charge is going to store baggage, etc., in the locker device 1, he uses a Party card and sets by the control part 3 the room No. of the user, locker No., the charge, etc. He puts the baggage in an opened locker and receives a receipt. For payment in advance, the charged amount is released from the control part 3 and the cash and receipt are received. When the user is to receive the baggage, check is made that he is a due person, and he receives the baggage by the locker No. and receives the receipt in case he has paid the charge.
