PURPOSE:To improve the strength developing property of the title composition by composing the composition out of an aq. cement suspension, an alkali metal aluminate, basic magnesium carbonate, and an org. carboxylic acid/or an alkaline-earth metal hydroxide. CONSTITUTION:The cement suspension composition consists of a suspension of cement in water, an alkali metal aluminate, basic magnesium carbonate, and an org. carboxylic acid and/or an alkaline-earth metal hydroxide. Although the alkaline-earth metal hydroxide does not directly react with cement, the hydroxide reacts with the alkali metal aluminate immediately after contact with it to form an alkaline-earth metal aluminate which accelerates the setting and hardening of cement. In addition, although the basic magnesium carbonate alone accelerates the setting and hardening of cement like the alkali metal aluminate, the setting accelerating action is remarkably increased by the synergistic effect with the coexistent alkali metal aluminate. Furthermore, when the org. carboxylic acid is incorporated, the strength development after setting and hardening is drastically promoted by the synergistic effect. |
