<p>PURPOSE:To determine an accurate pulse rate in a short while, by computing an initial value based on pulse rate counted from pulses and then by time- serially processing the initial value and a subsequent value obtained from a successive pulse. CONSTITUTION:When a pulse sensor 2 is attached to an organism and a pulsimeter is activated with a key controller 4, a pulse signal is sent to a pulse generating circuit 3, which shapes the waveform of the signal and outputs the shaped signal to a microcomputer 1. The microcomputer 1 counts pulse rates P1, P2, ..., Pm from respective pulse signals A1, A2, ..., Am, computes the arithmetic mean of the pulse rates P1, ..., Pm and displays the arithmetic mean as an initial value A at a display 5. When a pulse rate Pm+1 is counted from a pulse signal Am+1, the mean value of the pulse rate Pm+1 and the initial value A is computed to obtain a second displayed value. A third displayed value is obtained from a pulse rate Pm+2 in the same manner. The above steps are repeated whenever a pulse signal is inputted so as to successively display a value close to the real pulse rate.</p> |
