PURPOSE: To copy even a large drawing such as a drawing for construction without involving a host computer to perform plotting processing by providing a frame memory for copying in size for a large drawing and fetching an optional image area by programmable mapping from the memory. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with the frame memory for copying 1 whose size for the large drawing is larger than size capable of being displayed on a screen and from which the optional area is fetched by the programmable mapping. The memory 1 is utilized as the memory for the large drawing capable of performing the screen display of an optional part, and image data formed on the memory 1 by utilizing the graphic processing functions 4 to 8 of the device's own is outputted to a printing device 3 through a printing timing generator 2, so that a hard copy drawing is obtained. Thus, the drawing equal to or above the size capable of being expressed by using the display screen is printed with feeling to obtain the hard copy without burdening the host computer with the plotting processing. |
