PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a rotary electric machine by forming axial vent holes at a stator, thereby increasing the heat sink amount during the rotation and at the stopping time of the machine. CONSTITUTION:Vent holes 15 are axially formed at serveral positions at the prescribed interval at a stator core 9. Thus, the axial holes 15 are formed at the core 9 to increase a natural heat sink, thereby further accelerating the cooling effect and considerably decreasing the heat sink required for cooling. Accordingly, the quantity of the cooling air can be reduced in the amount of heat corresponding to the increase in the heat sink due to the holes 15 of the core 9. |
