The invention concerns a panel 1 which allows thin sheets of cladding for elevations to be fixed without adhesive, in particular sheets of glass or stone, with a hollow joint 5 between adjacent panels.
<??>The panel comprises a lightweight metal frame 54' which surrounds the external sheet 50 of the covering. This frame comprises at least one section 54 having a continuous edge 12 which extends in front of a peripheral zone on the external face 14 of the sheet. Preferably, this zone is chamfered 13. The panel is manufactured entirely in the factory and it is provided with methods of fixing allowing subsequent dismantling if necessary.
