The invention relates to a motor vehicle having a rear-seat arrangement which is situated in front of a luggage compartment (8) and the seat back (5) of which can be folded from its normal position into a horizontal position in which its rear side and a wall (9) of the luggage compartment (8) form a flat surface. To extend this flat surface it is proposed to mount a board (11) on the rear side of the seat back (5), which board can be pivoted, when the seat back (5) has been folded over, through approximately 180@ into a position in which it forms a flat surface together with the seat-back rear side and the wall (9), which constitutes a cover for the lower luggage compartment (8).
