1. A process for treating ferrous sulphate crystallized in the heptahydrate form having trace amounts of intercrystalline water containing free acid in which, in order to suppress the tendency of the crystals to agglomerate and to render them able to flow freely, the traces of water are eliminated by adding, in intimate mixture, to this ferrous sulphate a ferrous sulphate which is underhydrated to 40.5% by weight at most, in an amount at least sufficient to compensate for the trace amounts of intercrystalline water, characterized in that the underhydration of the added ferrous sulphate is at least 10% by weight, and the free acid is neutralized by the addition of 0.5 to 2% by weight of a pulverulent neutralizing agent. |
