<p>PURPOSE:To execute effective control at an optimum tracking error voltage by selecting only one area out of four auto-tracking areas in a frame at the time of even-times speed reproducing to obtain a tracking error voltage. CONSTITUTION:In case of tracking four tracks A, B in the even and odd frames of heads 1a, 1b at the time of even-times speed reproducing, the head 1a can reproduce only auto-tracking ATF signals ATF1, ATF2 on the track A of the even frame. Since a part of the ATF2 is lacking, a high level reproduced signal can be obtained only from the ATF1. On other hand, no ATF signal on the track B can be reproduced by the head 1b on the basis of the same reason. Thus, only one ATF area is selected out of four ATF areas in one frame and a proper tracking error voltage is obtained to attain optimum control.</p> |
