PURPOSE:To connect strips with an inexpensive device in a short time and good yields by disposing reinforcing tapes laminated with adhesive materials layers between the top and bottom surfaces in both end parts of strips which are butted and disposed and adhering the strips under heating and pressurizing. CONSTITUTION:The end face 3 of one preceding end part 2 of strips 1, 1 to be connected to each other and the end face 5 of the other succeeding end part 4 are faced to each other in a butted state. Reinforcing tapes 7 provided with adhesive material layers 6 on one side are disposed between the top and bottom surfaces of the parts 2, 4, and both parts 2, 4 are subjected to heating, melt sticking and cooling, whereby said parts are joined to one body via the reinforcing tapes 7. Here, the surfaces 3, 5 are so connected as to have a slight clearance 8 between both. According to such method, the working dimensional accuracy before and behind the juncture is stabilized and the yield of product is improved. |
