<p>Known tool arrangements for ultrasonic welding consist of a sonotrode as the active tool and an anvil as the holding tool for the workpieces. According to the invention, the sonotrode (1, 21, 30, 40, 50) and/or the anvil (2, 22) are provided at their work surfaces (6, 9, 26, 36, 46), at which the ultrasound penetrates the workpieces (3, 4, 23, 24) to be welded, with synthetic hardfacing material which defines a new work surface (6a, 9a, 26a, 36a, 46a, 56a). The synthetic hardfacing material used is polycrystalline diamond (PCD), polycrystalline boron nitride (PCB) or cubic-crystalline boron nitride (CBN).</p> |
