Annular seal between for example a piston or a piston rod and a wall surrounding this, which seal comprises a support member and two annular sealing lips, one of which functions statically and the other dynamically, and is designed to have its support member and its static sealing lip located in a recess in one member and to seal with its dynamic sealing lip against the other member. For its function such a seal requires oil mist lubrication but to eliminate this need the dynamic sealing lip (9) and the support member (7) are provided with a low friction layer (11) on their surfaces facing the other member of the device which is connected with and supported by a core of an elastic polymer material, of which the support member (7) and the two sealing lips (9) and (10) are integrally formed. <IMAGE>
