<p>An expansible compact-spine book-like filing appliance can be used for continuous filing and facilitates access to all filed information in flat documents in sheet form, either separate or previously bound into larger units, of the most diverse formats, spline thicknesses and shapes, in a single book-like filing applicance the spine of which can be adapted exactly to the actual thickness of the filed documents. An expansible compact spine (6) provided with rods and which can be adapted to the thickness of the documents (for example 18, 19, 20, 21) actually contained in the file is formed between a filing tongue fastening strip (1) and a filing locking strip (2) by very thin adhesive loose filing strips (4) provided with filing perforations or similarly designed parts of the filed documents (21), and by the amount necessary to compensate for the thickness of the documents of loose spacing strips (5) provided with identical filing perforations (9). The filing strips (4) or similar parts of filed documents (21) and the spacing strips (5) are slid along the flexible filing tongues (7). The flat documents (for example 18, 19, 20) are connected in a hinged manner to the filing strips by adhesive strips (12) and the ends of the filing tongues (7) can be easily and detachably secured externally to the filing tongue locking strips (2) by folding them back to the flat in locking recesses (8) or other limitations having the same function with respect to the ends of the filing tongues, which are secured under locking tongues (8a). The invention also concerns an additional flexible spine (3) for gripping, covering, designating and labelling which projects from the variable compact spline and can be attached, if desired, as well as a member of details which provide solutions to posed by individual components of the subject matter of the invention.</p> |
