<p>A golf teeing apparatus (10) comprising a housing (16) having a ball inlet opening (48), a housing cover assembly (54) having a tee access opening (73), and a ball hopper (12) connected to the housing (16) via a ball delivery conduit (14). A ball support assembly (18) is disposed within the housing (16) for receiving one ball at a time from the ball delivery conduit (14), and for supporting the golf ball (26). The ball support assembly (18) includes a vertically disposed tubular member (90) having a ball receiving opening (98) communicating with the ball inlet opening (48), a resilient tubular member (108) is disposed between the tubular member (90) and the housing cover assembly (54), and a piston member (92) is disposed within the tubular member (90). The piston member (92) is connected to a power assembly (93) and is movable between a lower position and an upper position. The piston member (92) biases the balls in the ball delivery conduit (14) away from the ball receiving opening (98) as the piston member (92) is moved from the lower position to the upper position.</p> |
