The invention relates to an analogue/digital converter having a signal input for an analogue input signal, having a signal output exhibiting n bits for a digital output signal and having a number of comparators to which the input signal and reference voltages are applied. To reduce the number of comparators to the number of bits of the signal output, the converter is constructed with a digital feedback of such a form that each comparator or bit is associated with one reference voltage source which supplies a basic reference voltage, the basic reference voltages in each case increasing by a factor of two from bit to bit starting from the bit having the lowest significance. Furthermore, means are provided which increase the reference voltages of all subsequent bits having a lower significance by the basic reference voltage associated with one comparator when the input voltage at this comparator is equal to or greater than the reference voltage applied to it. |
