The invention relates to a support system for face winning in inclined stratification, in particular with over-tipped working face, with the use of a frame-type support whose support frames (1), arranged parallel to one another at a lateral distance apart, are attached with their lateral walking mechanisms (3) to an articulated beam (2) arranged lengthwise in front of the working face, the individual support frames (1) being provided on the goaf side with vertically adjustable goaf walls (15) and having supporting and guide devices (16 to 21) in the area of the goaf walls. The supporting and guide devices (16 to 21) have supporting skids (16) which can be set out hydraulically against the neighbouring frame. According to the invention, the support frames (1) standing at the bottom face end are connected in pairs via a hydraulic aligning cylinder (32), by means of which these support frames can be aligned in the dip. The hydraulic aligning cylinder or cylinders (32) is or are arranged at an angle to the dip between the adjacent support frames and are connected to them preferably via universal joints or the like. They preferably lie under supporting brackets (14) of the relevant support frames. Furthermore, at a supporting bracket projecting laterally downwards in the dip, the lowermost support frame has a prop (24) hydraulically extendable towards the floor for aligning this support frame. <IMAGE>
