PURPOSE:To prevent the prominence of the missing part in a mark while obtaining sufficient strength by affixing a holding plate, through which laser beams can be transmitted, to a mask plate, including a plate surface section left inside an open character and reinforcing the mask plate. CONSTITUTION:A character mask for a laser mark is reinforced in such a manner that thick metallic plates 17, in which window hole sections 18 are made open to a picture frame shape so that laser beams can be transmitted, including a plate surface section 11a left inside an open character 12, a center of which is removed, in the open character 12 drawn out and formed on a mask plate 11 composed of a metallic sheet such as a copper alloy, stainless, etc., are affixed respectively so as to hold the character mask from the surface side and the rear side. Accordingly, since the strength of mask plate 11 itself can be ensured sufficiently while the plate thickness of the mask plate 11 is thinned, the prominence of the presence of a connecting section 13 connected to the surface of the mask plate 11 can be prevented as much as possible in the plate surface section 11a left inside the open character 12 when the open character 12 is projected onto the screen of an object by the irradiation of laser beams. |
