<p>NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R<1> represents (substituted)pyridine ring; R<2> and R<3> represent H, negative electric charge or ester residue capable of forming an ester hydrolyzable in vivo; X represents alkylene] or salt thereof. EXAMPLE:7beta-[2-(2-Aminothiazole)-(Z)-2-(1-carboxyvinyloxyimino)aceta mido]-3-(4- pyridylmethylthio]-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid. USE:An antibacterial agent. PREPARATION:A compound (salt) expressed by formula II (R<4> represents H, carboxyl-protecting group, etc.) is reacted with a compound (reactive derivative) expressed by formula III (R<5> represents H or amino-protecting group; R<6> represents H, carboxyl-protecting group, etc.) to afford a compound expressed by formula IV. Then the compound is reacted with a compound expressed by the formula HS-X-R<7> (R<7> represents pyridine ring) to afford a compound expressed by formula V, followed, as necessary, by introduction of substituent groups, deprotection, etc.</p> |
