PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive wire with a free dimension and shape by adding a thermo-plastic resin to powder of superconducting material and extruding the superconducting material at a resin softening temperature to manufacture a wire and thereafter degreasing and coating the degreased superconducting material with a metal after degreasing. CONSTITUTION:A theremo-plastic resin is added to powder of superconducting material, the extrusion performed at a resin softening temperature to form a round bar shape compact 11. The compact is softened by heating with a heater 10 to manufacture a compact 12. The compact 12 is herically wound with tensile forced applied thereon on a metal rod 13 being provided with a recess by rotating the metal rod 13 toward an arrow A. Thereafter, the degreasing is performed with paying attention such that the compact 12 is not plastically deformed during degreasing, and thence a metallic film is stretched on a surface of the compact 12. Thereby, a wire having an optional diameter and shape in section can be obtained inexpensively. |
